Our government client is looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to join their team.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. We offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Pay Rate: $40.00 - $48.00/hr on W2

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be taken into account when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting is a reflection of a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided pay range.

Responsibilities of the Oracle Database Administrator:

• Provide application database development, performance tuning, and operational database support
• Perform database backups, recoveries, patches, upgrades, design, development, testing, and performance tuning
• Communicate comfortably with customer facing activities
• Participate in client meetings
• Share 24 x 7 on call rotation duties with other team members
• Work flexible hours including weekends and nights

Requirements of the Oracle Database Administrator:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 10 years of experience in Oracle DBA support
• At least 10 years of experience working with Oracle database systems on UNIX and Linux.
• Experience with Oracle 12c, 19c, RAC, Oracle ASM, and Oracle Transparent Data Encryption
• Experience in Oracle 11g and 12c database architecture, automation, installs, backup & recovery, monitoring, and database query tuning
• Experience with RMAN, database partitioning, patching, and cloning
• Strong performance tuning skills
• Strong shell scripting skills
• Proficiency in PL/SQL
